Christmas Tablescape 2011

So to save time running around tomorrow, I set up our tablescape tonight! Yay! I did eventually choose to stick with traditional colours and I'm glad I did! We ended up putting the spoons on the inside of the knives, at Dad's request, and also placed crystal wine glasses on the table too! Yay!

The items are from as follows:
Table Runner {Ikea}, Fowlers Glass Jars {Op shop in Barwon Heads}, Red Ribbon {Kikki.K}, Baubles {Safeway}, Butterflies {Bed bath and table}, Twine {Kikki.K}, Pegs {See this post!}

I hope you all have a lovely lovely Christmas, and thankyou so so much for taking the time to stop by my blog this year, and for the ongoing support! It truly means the world to me!

Happy Christmas!

DIY Glitter Mini-Pegs

You'll Need:             First I placed a scrap piece of paper on a clean flat surface and emptied some
 - Mini Pegs              glitter on to it, I got my glitter from Lincraft. Next I painted some glue very thinly
 - Glitter                    and evenly onto one side of the peg.
 - PVA Glue
 - Paint Brush
 - Paper

Then I dipped one end in glitter

and then the other end

and presto! Glitter peg! Repeat on the other side too!

You can use glitter pegs for so many things! To close a goody bag, filled with gingerbread, to add a flower or card to a present, to hang photos from string...the list goes on! I'm going to use mine to hold napkins together at Christmas Lunch! Yay cant wait! only 4 days to go!

I had been trying to find one for ages, and I didnt want to pay $200 for one, then one day randomly I was at a $2 shop near the boyfriends house and found this one! Except silly me didnt get it right then and there, and then everytime we went back to see if they had it, it wasnt there! Nooooo! So then I just ended up going to the same store in South Yarra and they had one! And on sale tooo! Wooooo! I got mine from Chickenfeed, for $11.95! wooo! And its not even cheap and crappy looking! Double woo! Now all I need is a new lamp!
